In reconstructing this website, I’ve relied on the Way Back Machine (internet archives). If you want to know more about Habithacker before subscribing, visit here to see what it’s all about.
Here’s a list from 2010.
- Label everything.
- Give in to any aesthetic whim that motivates your habithacking self.
- Don’t habithack for the sake of habithacking. Habithack so you can devote more of yourself to your creative life.
- Don’t be a drone. Adapt other systems and make them your own.
- HH New Year’s Day is April 1st. Yes, my procrastinating friends. Resolutions are best made four months late.

Hi Jean – just saw that you are back 🙂 So happy about that! I re-subscribed to Nest, and if it doesn’t work due to same email as years ago, I’ll jot you a note. I have REALLY missed you and your awesome work and inspiration!!! Thanks so much! Chris

Thank you Chris! Welcome back. I do hope your house isn’t as trashed as mine. Jean

Oh….I’ll bet mine is…we moved 5 months ago and there are many, many boxes in the garage, in closets, pictures to be hung, a zillion things that have yet to surface, etc. Argghhh!!! So glad you’re back–and I’ll clean up my mess along with you doing yours! 🙂

Oh Chris…I just had to send you a little encouragement on your moving hell. Few things are as messy, intense, exhausting as that particular undertaking. Long ago, my husband and I moved 13 times in a dozen years, several of those cross country. Thank goodness those career training days are long gone. However, I always felt moving, as horrible as it was, kept our stuff a bit more under control. We have now been in the same house for 20 years. NO WONDER it looks like this (kindly imagine the worst). Go forth, my sister, in your unmess quest.
